Homemade Aloe Juice

Aloe is a wonderful plant , full of natural goodness.


Aloe is not only nourishing, soothing and calming for the skin and face, when consumed as a drink, it is excellent in soothing the GI tract and stomach, cooling the body and helping to alleviate acid reflux. This juice can be consumed on its own or combined with other juices to help the body in different ways, calming the menstrual cycle, relieving urinary tract infections and helping to reduce skin disturbances such as rashes or eruptions.


Recipe for Aloe Juice


2 tbsp aloe gel from one leaf

1 C water


Optional : pinch of salt, sweetener such as maple syrup, lime juice


Wash the thick aloe vera stalks

Cut lengthwise and beginning at the thick end of the stalk, scoop out the clear gel.

Be careful not to get the green skin in your gel as it may cause diarrhea.

Add water and blend using a hand held or countertop blender .

Keep up to 1 week in the refrigerator (lime or additional juices will increase shelf life)


Combined with cranberry juice helps cleanse and reduce the heat of urinary tract infections.


1/2 C cranberry juice

1/2 C aloe vera juice (above)

1/2 C water

honey to sweeten


Drink 1/2 cup 3-4x daily after meals


Combined with pomegranate juice, helps to maintain a regular, comfortable menstrual cycle as well as is excellent for skin rashes and pimples.


1 C pomegranate juice (pure and unsweetened if possible)

1/2 C aloe juice

1/2 C water


Drink 1/2 C 1-3X daily
